Jamie rejoined Architype in 2022 as a Part 2 architectural assistant, having previously worked at Architype as a Part 1 from 2017 – 2018.

Jamie contributed to the Stage 3 design of London Dock Secondary School and Stage 4 design of sheltered housing refurbishments in Lewisham. Jamie is interested in climatically responsive and place specific design, low impact materials and participatory engagement in architecture.

In 2019 Jamie took part in a co-design workshop in Sierra Leone with Architecture Sans Frontières where he developed skills in participatory ways of working with communities. Jamie also took part in Studio in the Woods in 2018 where the woven-log enclosure created by the group he was part of was featured on BBC’s Countryfile.

Education

Jamie completed both his undergraduate and masters degrees at the University of Sheffield, graduating with first class honours and distinction respectively. He also received an award for design and management from the School of Architecture at University of Sheffield.
