Matt is a recently qualified Architect with over 5 years in practice as an architectural assistant. With a specialism of designing within a heritage context, his experience is focused around bespoke family homes and education projects.
Recently, Matt has been responsible for the day-to-day running of a new build primary school in West London. Following the completion of this, he is now working on a number of local Passivhaus schemes varying from concept design to construction detailing. In addition, Matt organises weekly visiting presentations and manages the CPD element of Architype’s Hereford office.
Matt undertook his Part I studies combining Architecture and Planning at The University of the West of England, Bristol. During his time at university he worked part time as an architectural research assistant studying social interaction in architecture. Matt studied for his Masters at the Manchester School of Architecture, where he also tutored the undergraduate students. Matt recently completed his Post Graduate Diploma in Architectural Practice at Birmingham City University.
Recently Matt has presented his research on Great Britain’s vernacular architecture and contemporary homogenisation of the built environment to the Manchester Society of Architects.
