Robin has been a practicing architect since 1981, working on a large variety of projects from education, housing and community – new build, and refurbishment of Listed Buildings.
He is an enthusiastic advocate for environmentally sustainable and low energy building design, and a promoter of the use of healthy, natural and breathable construction technologies within Architype’s buildings.
Robin has been project architect on a number of community housing self build projects, community centres, children's centres, a library, several school projects and has also worked on the University of East Anglia Enterprise Centre, designed to achieve a BREEAM Outstanding and Passivhaus rating.
Robin studied at UCL Bartlett School of Architecture & Planning and has subsequently become a Registered Member of the Association for Project Safety. Robin leads Architype in-house CDM-C Services.
Robin has carried out both classroom based and hands-on training for self builders when working at the Walter Segal Self Build Trust and has given talks at various venues including Ecobuild.
