Architect & CEPH Designer
BA(Hons) MArch DipArch
Whilst at Architype, Rosie has worked on the Archive building for Herefordshire Council, consultation projects with a Community Land Trust in Bristol and detail design for the Shirle Hill Co-housing project in Sheffield. She is currently working on an SEN School project in London.
Mostly interested in housing, Rosie’s skills are in Urban Design, whilst maintaining an interest in detailing and construction. Rosie is the co-founder of a student housing co-operative, and set up the project with the hope to make co-operative housing more widely available.
Rosie studied architecture at The University of Sheffield, where she developed a particular interest in social research and sustainability. Her thesis project investigated the future of housing and urban design in a changing climate, focusing on what makes a community more resilient. She returned to Sheffield for her MArch and graduated Summer 2013, becoming fully qualified in 2015 at London Southbank University.
Rosie has lectured at co-operative conferences about co-operative housing. She is also a trustee of Volunteer Studio; an architecture and participation charity. Projects with Volunteer Studio include building playgrounds in Romania and running educational architecture workshops in secondary schools.
