Architect & CEPH Designer
Tom brings over 20 years experience of various sectors of the construction industry including 5 years working on site on new build houses, loft conversions and many smaller interventions.
His passion for timber and low energy buildings is evident in his work as project architect. Over the last ten years of having worked with Architype, Tom has been involved on a number of completed school projects, visitors centres, feasibility studies, planning applications, design competitions, and of most recent, in the delivery of improved school design solutions that comply with the EFA baseline design standards. He has also designed, detailed & completed Passivhaus analysis on the UK's first Passivhaus school (and subsequent PH Schools); office buildings in Ankara, Turkey; private residences around Herefordshire and played an important role in a large, more complex housing development in Camden.
Tom studied architecture at Leeds Metropolitan and the University of Brighton, and completed his part III at the University of Birmingham. Tom was one of the first participants of the AECB Carbonlite Passivhaus course run in Plymouth.
