Tom is an Architectural Technologist with six years experience working in Architectural Practice. He initially trained and worked in technical theatre as a set and lighting designer for theatre and television, and as production manager for a number of theatre companies and festivals.
Tom is currently running three school projects in Barnet and a day care facility for people with dementia in Southwark. He was part of the Architectural team delivering the UK's first two Passivhaus primary schools for Architype, as well as a complex Passivhaus housing development in Camden. Other projects include a refurbishment for 'Into University' - a community education organisation in West London, and feasibility studies for St. Clements Church, Notting Hill, for adapting the church space into a performance venue.
Tom studied Architectural Technology at The University of West London and has a BA(Hons) in Technical Theatre Arts from Middlesex University. He is a Chartered Architectural Technologist (MCIAT), and is currently completing his dissertation for MSc Architecture - Advanced Environment & Energy Studies, from the Centre for Alternative Energy (CAT).
