Associate & CEPH Designer
Wendy is one of the London Associates, with over 12 years experience working at Architype, following a short spell at a small commercial practice in London. Her year out was spent with International Design Consultants in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Wendy has worked on many of Architype’s education projects as architectural assistant, then architect and now associate. She recently lead the Southwark Primary School estate review, using her organisational and analytical skills to plan and execute the review of over 70 schools across the borough.
Wendy enjoys working with people to develop an appropriate brief, listening and responding to stakeholders. This has been invaluable in constrained expansion schemes, such as the Vineyard School, or where there are special needs, such as Sutton SEN School. Wendy has been involved in the practice’s IT strategy and developing the ISO 9001 and 14001 documentation and processes.
Wendy studied at the University of Cambridge and Newcastle University. Her dissertation on space use in home-based enterprises in Surabaya, Indonesia was commended in the RIBA President’s Medals in 2000.
