Danielle O’ Byrne
Danielle joined Architype in 2020 as an architectural technologist. Since joining Architype, she has worked predominantly within education, on a range of projects across the UK.
Danielle is using Autodesk Revit to create Building Information Models (BIM) and produce detailed design drawings. She has also undergone training in Information Management, COBie, Architype’s innovative cost and carbon software ECCOLab, and Navisworks, with the aim of becoming a BIM Coordinator/Information Manager.
During her education, Danielle spent three months working in the Middle East, including a large-scale judicial building and shopping centre. She also spent three months at a practice in Ireland, working on the renovation of a protected structure into a hotel and spa.
Her projects at Architype include the Passivhaus schools Currie Community High School in Edinburgh, Maybury primary school, and Ysgol Bro Hyddgen, an all-through school in Machynlleth, Wales.
Danielle graduated with a first class honours degree from a CIAT accredited course at Waterford Institute of Technology. Her BSc (Hons) in Architectural and Building Information Modelling Technology focused on BIM visualisation through rendering platforms. During her studies Danielle also completed the BIM Approved Graduate (AG) online course at the BRE Academy to become a BRE BIM informed professional. She was a MOY Materials bursary winner in 2019.
