Nathan is an Architectural Assistant and qualified joiner with over 15 years experience working in architectural practice, thirteen of which have been with Architype.
His work with Architype was broken by a two-year sabbatical spent working hands on with timber in both construction and furniture making. During this period he also worked as a teaching assistant on green woodwork courses.
In his time with Architype, he has tended to work on projects from inception to completion ensuring early design intentions transfer through to final built product. Nathan has worked on the teams for Springhill Cohousing and more recently on the groundbreaking Passivhaus schemes; Oak Meadow Primary School and Herefordshire Archive and Record Centre. He is currently working on a large-scale Passivhaus social housing scheme in London.
Nathan is responsible for the development of Architype’s approach to BIM, ensuring that we are compliant and disseminating up-to-date training amongst the architectural staff.
Nathan studied architecture at The Kent Institute of Art and Design. During his sabbatical he also gained a City and Guilds level 2 qualification in Bench Joinery from Hereford Technology College.
