Robert joined Architype in 2013 as an Architectural Technologist and in 2015 was appointed to the role of Technical Manager, supporting the directors and management team to develop, enhance and cultivate technical design excellence at Architype.

With a focus on problem solving, Robert has a keen enthusiasm for seeking genuine sustainable solutions. He has extensive knowledge of construction techniques, material analysis, building methodologies and on-site applications, specialising in thermal bridging and hygrothermal analysis, utilising a variety of analytical softwares.

Prior to joining Architype, Robert worked as a freelance Architectural Technologist in Ireland gaining experience working with a diverse range of architectural practices working on large and small scale projects, including a varied range of educational, conservation, multi-national, commercial and residential.

Education

Robert studied for his honours degree in Architectural Technology and continued with his MSc in Sustainable Energy Engineering, both at Waterford Institute of Technology, Ireland. He became a Certified Passivhaus Designer in 2012.
