Architype announced Sustainable Practice of the Year for 2nd year running
By Jessica Taylor
For the second year running, Architype has been declared ‘Sustainable Architect of the Year’ in the AJ100 Awards, surpassing competition from the 100 highest ranking architectural practices in the UK.
The jury were unanimous in awarding Architype the prestigious award, noting that ‘the profession should listen up because Architype is disrupting business as usual, delivering highly sustainable buildings easily two or three years ahead of other leading firms.’
Through the delivery of The Enterprise Centre at the University of East Anglia, the ongoing monitoring of Passivhaus schools and plans for Bridgecroft Residential Development, Architype was able to deliver a convincing case to the judging panel, who honoured us with recognition as number one sustainable architectural practice.
Also shortlisted for Building of the Year with The Enterprise Centre, we were happy to receive the ‘AJ Readers’ award for coming top in the online poll, which has been collecting opinion in the lead up to this weeks ceremony.
Through our hard work and commitment to architecture, we have jumped up 7 places and now listed #74 amongst architect practices in the UK.
